Cards from Scrapbook Pages

This tip is for you cardmakers that also scrapbook.

My current major project is a set of heritage scrapbooks, but I like sending out home-made cards to the important people in my life as well.  In order to keep up with cards I wanted to send out, I found I was spending more time than I wanted on pulling together a variety of papers & embellishments to make my cards -- thus taking time away from my main project.

Then it dawned on me -- I already have a nice variety of papers and embellishments pulled together for my scrapbook page. Rather than taking the time to file the leftovers, why not use them to make a card at the same time?!!! Now when I complete a scrapbook page, I look to see what I might use to make a card. It works great!

I now have MORE TIME TO SPEND ON MY PROJECTS because I am spending:
  * less time pulling materials together for making my cards, and
  * less time putting away odds & ends from my scrapbooking!
AND, I usually have cards ready at my fingertips when needed!

Love the pages and the card. Good idea about using the leftovers to make an additional project.
