Embossing - Simple Elegance
Here's a card that was quick and easy - but elegant because of the embossing. I used Sizzix Textured Plate - "Polka Daisies" because I thought it looked like snowflakes and would repeat the theme of the background (blank card from paper wishes). I ran it through my Big Shot, to quickly emboss the background. The "Happy Birthday is also dry embossed using a Cuddlebug embossing folder. For the words, I went over the raised part with an embossing pen and added blue Perfect Pearls. The result is subtle but adds a bit of bling. Then I went over the top with an opaque white pen so the words would stand out. A thin ribbon & bow complete the card - a nice birthday card for someone whose birthday is in the winter months.
