Inspiration

Where do you get ideas for your cardmaking or scrapbook pages?  Often we like to look at what others have done and published on the web or in magazines, but don't limit yourself!  Anything can be inspiration!  Take this picture, for example.  What inspiration can you get from it?
  • The setting - a formal tea - can suggest the use of Victorian-style papers and embellishments
  • The function can suggest the use of cup and tea pot themes
  • The table setting can inspire color choices
  • The clothing can suggest color choices - for instance, the tan, white, black, and turquoise in that skirt would make a fabulous card!
  • The people can suggest a relationship theme
  • You might be inspired to express gratitude for the blessings in your life
  • The light shining in the window might inspire you to journal about what "lights up your life"
You get the idea. I'm sure with a little thought, you could come up with many more ideas.  What does this photo inspire in you?  Leave a comment telling me and we'll see how creative we all can be!
