Get Well

This card brings together many of my favorite things: outline stickers, perfect pearls, suede paper, fibrous paper, and alcohol inks.  Unfortunately the picture doesn't do it justice.  It looks much better in real life with all the glittery shine and different textures.  To make it:
  • Make focal first so it has time to dry -- Place an outline sticker on a plain piece of white cardstock and paint it with "Perfect Pearls" (mix a little perfect pearls powder with a little water to form the "paint" - I used "Forever Violet" and "Forever Green" from the "Jewels" collection).   Let dry.
  • Cut, score and fold a piece of silver cardstock to form the base card
  • Dab it all over with alcohol ink (I used Lettuce, Eggplant, and Silver Mixative). Let it dry.
  • Tear a rectangular piece of the fibrous paper for a mat and glue it down.
  • Cut and emboss the green suede using a nestabilities die as shown.
  • Cut out the focal and add it to the green suede oval along with the "Get Well Soon" outline stickers.
  • Take a small "ribbon" of green suede paper (about 3/8" wide), top it with narrow silver ribbon (1/4" wide), and glue in place.
  • Glue the green suede oval in place and then outline the embossed edge on the green suede with a silver metallic pen.
  • Finish with a small silver bow.
