HD Vintage Blossom - Floral Blush

Today I have cards from another set from the Vintage Blossom Hunkydory Kit - this one called Floral Blush.  Here's what the full kit looked like:

There were actually two of these sets, but they were incomplete. Each was supposed to have two sheets of AS (adoreable scoreable printed card stock) and one sheet of die cuts. I also used a few die cuts from a Hunkydory book called Bigger Book of Toppers - Florals that seemed to go well with them.  I call these last die cuts the "extras" to distinguish them.

Inside sentiments were stamped with Crafter's Companion Compendium stamps (CCC).

Below you can see the nine cards I made from these sets:

And here's a closeup look at the nine cards.

Card #1:

I cut a panel from one of the AS sheets - and then inked the edges with gold Sharpie pen.  I made a border with scraps of gold poster board and dark red glimmer paper.  The sentiment was from the die cut sheet.  The smaller one was just a portion that was cut from one of the extra die cuts - and then matted with gold poster board.

Inside:

A border of dark red glimmer paper (bordered with gold Sharpie) & a narrow strip of gold poster board decorates the inside.  The stamp is from CCC - the sheet called Birthday-Female, using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

Card #2:

Here's a similar card - made from the same cut as the last one.  This time the border was created from scraps of the AS & some green glimmer paper.  A sentiment from a HD Little Book of Essential Sentiments completes the card front.

Inside:

A similar border of AS & green glimmer paper was put on the inside.  The stamp was again from CCC - the page called Birthday-Female.

Card #3:

Next up is a slim line.  A portion of the AS, bordered by gold Sharpie, forms the backdrop.  Then I added 4 of the die cuts - one of which was a sentiment.

Inside:

The AS piece inside was done the same as on the card front.  The stamped sentiment was again from the CCC - Birthday-Female.

Card #4:

The border of the other AS makes a very pretty backdrop for the two die cuts used on this card front.  Once again I inked the edges with gold Sharpie.

Inside:

A small piece of the AS (again inked with Sharpie) forms a border for the inside - with a die cut tag decorating it (along with a small ribbon from my stash).  The stamped sentiment was again from CCC - the page called Thank You.

Card #5:

Next up, I took another piece of fairly solid background and added a border (same AS bordered with Sharpie and matted with glimmer paper.  3 die cuts form the focal decoration, and the sentiment is again cut from an extra die cut matted with gold as before.

Inside:

Once again I added a border inside - this time from dark red glimmer paper (edges inked with Sharpie) and decorated with pieces cut from some of the "extra" die cuts.  The sentiment once again comes from the CCC - Birthday-Female.

Card #6:

Next up is another card made from the border piece of one of the AS sheets.  The focal & sentiment are from the die cut sheet.

Inside:

Inside is a scrap of AS bordered with Sharpie, and a stamped message (CCC - Birthday-Female).

Card #7:

For this card, the background piece of AS is matted with gold poster board - which is also die cut (Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two) to serve as a mat for the extra die cuts (cut from rectangles to a nearly square shape).  The sentiment die cut is from the die cut sheet.

Inside:

A strip of the AS (with Sharpie inked edges) creates a border - decorated by a gold matted piece of extra die cut and a die cut sentiment (Moonstone Happy Anniversary Mini).  A sentiment was stamped using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink using a stamp from CCC Congratulations.

Card #8:

A small leftover piece of AS is part of the background for this card.   The focal & sentiment are both die cuts from the die cut sheet.

Inside:

A piece of inked AS & a tag form a border on the inside - completed with a small piece of ribbon from my stash.  A stamped message was created using a CCC stamp from the Thinking of You sheet.

Card #9:

For this final card, I decided to see how well it works to use an embossing folder (Darice 5X7 Damask) on a piece of AS.  I added a bit of ink to it before adding a strip of gold poster board for a border.  Three 3 die cuts from the die cut sheet form focal/sentiment.

Inside:

A border scrap (inked again) forms a border that is decorated with a small piece of an extra die cut.  The sentiment - this time stamped with gold ink - was again from CCC - the With Love page.
