HD Floral Shimmer with Sunshine & Smiles ACK

When I first started using Hunkydory kits, I didn't realize they were made of sets and that it worked best to use all of a set  at one time, rather than ending up with bits and pieces that didn't work together well.  Because of this, I had bits and pieces of leftovers from various kits, and have been working to finish up these partial sets.

This time, I had leftovers from a kit called Floral Shimmer - no clue what sets within that kit.  I also had some "extra" smaller die cuts from a Hunkydory book called Bigger Book of Toppers - Florals.  In addition, I had coordinating papers and cutouts leftover from an Artful Card Kit called Sunshine and Smiles. This, with other papers from my stash gave me quite a stash of materials to work with.  So, I got 8 cards from these materials (in addition to the 4 cards made with the LB pages posted yesterday). Inside messages were stamped using stamps from the Crafter's Companion Compendium (CCC). Here's a picture of the 8 cards:

And below is a close up of each.

Card #1:

The background for this card is a really pretty blue-green glittered card stock from my stash.  I die cut a piece of silver poster board for a frame for my focal - cut with a Spellbinders die set called 5 x 7 Heirloom Legacy, and used another narrow strip for a lower border.  The focal itself is a two-piece die cut from the HD set.  I added the HD die cut frame with foam tape.  The sentiment was stamped and die cut with a set of my Mom's stamps/dies.

Inside:

Two borders of glittered card stock & silver poster board frame the stamped message (CCC: Birthday-Male).

Card #2:

The background was made from a beautiful paper from the ACK.  The focal was one of the "extra" die cuts, matted with silver poster board (die cut with Crafti Potential Die Set A2 Stitched Rectangles Dots & Stars).  The sentiment was one I created using a stamp from Divinity Designs With Sympathy stamp and die set.

Inside:

Two pieces of the paper form borders on the inside.  The stamped sentiment was from CCC: With Sympathy.

Card #3:

I used no background paper for this one - just the card base.  The focal and border were die cuts from the HD set.  The sentiment was from a LB of Essential Sentiments from HD.  The champagne glasses embellishments were Dazzles backed with vellum.

Inside:

Another die cut from the set decorates the inside - along with dancers stickers from my stash.  The stamped sentiment was from CCC: With Love

Card #4:

Background card stock from my stash, and a border of AS from the set form the base of the card.  The focal is a die cut from the set.  The sentiment is from the HD Little Book of Essential Sentiments - the bow a die cut - perhaps from the set.

Inside:

Scraps from the card front make borders on the inside.  The stamped message was from CCC: Birthday-Male.

Card #5:

The background paper was leftover from an old HD set.  The border was embossed card stock using Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  The narrow strips of purple were cut from scraps of the die cut sheet.  A punched border decorates the lower edge.  The rest of the die cuts and the cut out sentiment were all from the ACK.

Inside:

I used scraps from the card front to create a border on the inside - finished with a die cut from the ACK.  Another die cut (butterfly) decorates the left side of the card.  The sentiment was stamped with one from CCC: Heartfelt.

Card #6:

These last 3 cards are a smaller size.  The background paper is the same as on the previous card.  A border was created with glitzy lavender paper and narrow silver poster board.  The focal and sentiment are die cuts from the set.

Inside:

Scraps from the front with die cut was used to create the lower border.  The sentiment was stamped from CCC: With Sympathy.

Card #7:

The paper is from the ACK - embossed with Divine Swirl embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The die cuts are from the HD set - frame added with foam tape.

Inside:

Inside the border was created from card stock & the paper from the card front, along with silver stickers from my stash. Stamp was from CCC: Thinking of You.

Card #8:

This final card was created with several layers.  A pink card stock mat and a piece of white/cream glitter card stock - both from my stash.  Then pieces of AS from the set (top and bottom) - with a thin strip of green glittered card stock.  A piece of AS forms the focal, The mat for the heart-shaped sentiment was a cut out from the ACK, and both sentiment pieces were from the HD Little Book of Essential Sentiments.

Inside:

Inside the lower border was made with a scrap of the AS and two die cuts from the set.  The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from CCC: Thinking of You.
