4 cards using HD LB of Floral Shimmer

Today I chose to work with 4 Little Book (LB) pages from the Little Book of Floral Shimmer from Hunkydory (HD).  I put them together with bits left over from the HD Floral Shimmer card kit, and bits left over from a HOTP Artful Card Kit (ACK) called Sunshine and Smiles.  To these materials, I added other bits from my stash.  Most of the cards use stamped sentiments from Crafter's Companion Compendium (CCC).  Here's a picture of the 4 little book pages that I used:

One of those I used as it came, one I cut out the center part for a focal, and two were cut to fit miscellaneous die cut frames that I had left over from the HD Floral Shimmer card kit - with other bits fussy cut to use as embellishments.

Here are the 4 cards that had elements from these little books:

And here's a closer look at each of them.

Card #1:

Up first is my very favorite of these four cards.  I used the LB page as it came, paired it with a purple patterned paper from my stash, used a stamped/die cut greeting (from Mom's stamps & dies), with ribbon from my stash threading through it.  Simple, but I love how it turned out.

Inside:

Inside I used more of the purple paper as a mat for a piece from one of the other LB pages, and a fussy cut butterfly (also from one of the other LB pages).  The sentiment used a stamp from the CCC page called With Love.

Card #2:

Next up is a slimline card.  The background paper was from the ACK.  The border is a strip of AS (adoreable scoreable card stock from Hunkydory) trimmed with silver poster board.  The two overlapping images are from LB pages cut to fit extra frames from the Floral Shimmer card kit.  A fussy cut butterfly adds interest to the circular one.  The sentiment was stamped & die cut with Mom's set and then matted with the silver poster board (die cut and embossed with a die from Spellbinder's Petite Scalloped Oval).

Inside:

Borders from the AS and the silver poster board form the main decorations inside.  The little butterfly die cut was from the HD card kit.  The sentiment was stamped using a CCC stamp from the Congratulations page.

Card #3:

I had some scraps of AS from the HD card kit that was the same design as this LB page, so I used them with a piece of silver poster board to form the background for this card.  Then I cut out the center oval from the LB page to form the framed focal.  The sentiment was die cut using a Creative Expressions die called Happy Anniversary Mini.

Inside:

A scrap of the AS from the kit and a leftover die cut from the same form the border inside.  The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from CCC With Love.

Card #4:

The background for this card combines paper from the ACK with AS from the HD card kit and silver poster board.  The focal was cut from the LB page to fit this die cut frame from the HD card kit.  The sentiment was a cut out from the ACK.

Inside:

A simple cut out sentiment and a scrap of paper for a border completes the inside of this card (both from the ACK).
