Father's Day - Layered Lattice

With Father's Day just around the corner, I figured I'd better get busy!!! Cards for men can be challenging, but I really liked the way this turned out. This card makes use of a couple of dies that I got recently.

The focal sentiment is stamped on a piece cut with my Celtic Chain Rectangle reflection die set from Cheery Lynn (and mounted on dark brown so the border shows up nicely).  This is a BIG die set - the rectangle shown is just about the smallest size that can be cut, but it gives a nice border and the sizes are adjustable.  The same die I used for this rectangle could make one in increasing widths up to nearly double this width, and there are 4 more dies in the set, each one a bit larger than the last.

The background, however, is what I think really makes this card. I used my lattice die and cut it out in 3 shades of cream/tan.  I offset and layered them - then glued them to a dark brown mat.  It's actually a pretty easy card to make once you figure out how you want to layer the lattice die cuts.
