Cardmaking with Suede Paper

I LOVE the look (and feel) of the suede paper from Hot Off the Press!  It adds such a wonderful texture - and you don't need much!  This card was made pretty quickly using a bunch of leftovers I had on hand.  All of the materials except the ribbon are from Hot Off the Press.

I trimmed the pink with a fancy edged cutter, then cut a couple of strips the same way using white paper. This gave the look of a mat that helps the pink stand out better.

The suede paper was cut and embossed using a Spellbinder's die in my Big Shot.  Yes, you CAN cut and emboss this paper - love the results!

The sentiment is a silver Dazzle which I painted white before placing on the dark green mat.

The flower was a scrap from Hot Off the press which I matted.

A bit of ribbon & I was done - quick & easy.
