HD Floral Shimmer - Stunning Shimmer

Today's cards come once again from Hunkydory's Floral Shimmer card kit - the set called Stunning Shimmer.  This set is not a standard set, but was actually designed to create a note card holder & a few note cards.  I chose to do something different.  Here's a picture of the materials I had for this set - which includes a few left over die cuts from other sets in this kit:

And here are the 5 cards I made from the set (with the addition of a few materials from my stash).

Let's look more closely at each:

Card #1 (above): I used one of the card stock pieces to form a card base and split the border to form a border top and bottom.  The focal is a die cut matted on a silver die cut (Spellbinder's Resplendent Rectangles), and a die cut greeting was added near the top.

Inside:

A piece of a little book page forms the focal on the inside - with scrap frame & borders completing the inside.

Card #2:

This card front was cut from what was supposed to be the front of the note card holder.  I thought it was complete by itself.

Inside:

I cut down what was meant to be a pocket to hold the note cards and used it to decorate the inside.

Card #3:

This card was done in a similar way to the previous one.  I added a couple scrap strips for a border & a die cut greeting from the set.

Inside:

As you can see, I trimmed the "pocket" piece differently for the inside of this one.

Card #4:

Once again, I trimmed down an unfolded note card to form the background of this card.  I created a large border with a piece of silver linen card stock & a wide purple ribbon from my stash.  The focal and greeting were from the kit - and the butterfly was a sticker from my stash.

Inside:

A scrap from the card front & more silver linen card stock form a border to which a die cut from the kit is attached.

Card #5:

This card used most of the rest of the card stock I had in the set.  As you can see, I used a silver ribbon from my stash to create a border to which the focal is attached.  The butterfly was a sticker from my stash.  The silver dots were punch outs from the die cut corners in the set.

Inside:

Inside I used a scrap piece for the border & another small butterfly sticker to finish it.
