Calendar Cards

Today's cards are from a pretty nature calendar that I cut up at the end of the year.  The pictures are so large that it takes some thinking to try to find a way to use them on cards, but I couldn't let such beautiful pictures go to waste!

Card #1 (above): After cutting a piece to the right size and adding it to my slimline card base, I stamped a sentiment (Sweet Stamps) in black ink & heat embossed it to keep it from smearing.  Then I took some Dazzles stickers - corners and thin lines to complete the card front.

Inside:

Inside are a couple scraps of the calendar, a stamped greeting (HOTP Poppies), and some more thin-line Dazzles.

Card #2:

Here's a second card made from the same calendar.  Once again I've added Dazzles stickers - both borders and sentiment.

Inside:

In addition to the calendar scrap, I have an inset picture (from the back of the calendar) for the inside.

Card #3:

This card uses the "underwater" part of the picture (you can see a mini picture of the whole on the inside).  The "upside down" part just felt to me like the way a person might feel when dealing with a death, so I made it into a sympathy card using a die cut (Creative Expressions mini die).

Inside:

Inside is another piece of the water reflection & the inset picture is from the back of the calendar.  The stamp is from a sympathy set my Mom gave me - no clue who made it.

Card #4:

Here I've added a greeting (Debbi Moore Freebie) and a stamped/die cut deer (Heartfelt Creations) to the front of the card.

Inside:

The inside simply has an additional calendar scrap to decorate it.

Card #5:

This card is similar to the last one - same materials used.
