KCC#17 Set 1

Again I'm going back to make up a KCC that I never had time to make - this time KCC #17.  And again, I pulled together papers from various packs to create the set of 6x6 papers from which I created it.  Here's what the papers looked like:

Materials used: Once again I started with a paper from the Beautiful Bokeh 6x6 set. To this, I added various discontinued papers from my stash - two pieces from the Subtles 6x6 DSP (Pool Party and Petal Pink) and one from the Neutrals 6x6 DSP (Mossy Meadow - all from 2024-2025 catalog - the current catalog has similar papers Subtles 6x6 DSP and Neutrals 6x6 DSP), and two 6x6 pieces cut from papers in the 12x12 Flowering Fields set.  In addition, I used several different cardstock colors: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Poppy ParadeMossy Meadow, and Basic White.  I also used the following inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMarkCalypso Coral, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, and Mossy Meadow. I also used some gold embossing powder.  Most of the embellishments were from discontinued sets, but if they're current, I'll mention those.  There are lots of similar ones to choose from on their Embellishments page.  I used three types of adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Glue Dots, and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Specific stamps, dies, embossing folders, used are noted in each card description. Some of these are from discontinued sets, but there are other many great sets to choose from on the Stampin' Up! website.

Here's a look at the 15 cards I made with these papers:

And now, for a closer look at each.

Card #1:

I must admit that I found this sketch a bit challenging.  I finally decided to use some discontinued stamps/dies called Flower Cart to create my focal and sentiment using Pool Party and Poppy Parade inks.  A Poppy Parade card base and mat, along with a  white embossed panel (Metal Plate 3D embossing folder) really made a difference - as did the Baker's Twine and bow and small embellishments in the upper left corner.

Card #2:

This one turned out much better than I expected!  It has so many different papers and I really wasn't sure what to do with it initially.  By the time I finished it, it turned out to be a favorite!  The embossed white background (Joined Together 3D embossing folder), matted with Calypso Coral, made a real difference - as does the ribbon.  Focal sentiment is from the discontinued hybrid embossing folder called Thoughtful Moments.

Card #3:

This one looks a bit different from the sketch.  After deciding to again used the discontinued Flower Cart stamps and dies (with Poppy Parade cardstock and ink) for my focal and sentiment, I rearranged the pieces to better accommodate my choice. This time I embossed the Pool Party background using the discontinued embossing folder called Mini Corrugated 3D.

Card #4:

This card again used the discontinued Metal Plate 3D embossing folder - this time with Pool Party cardstock.  Mats were made from Poppy Parade and Basic White.  The sentiment was again from the discontinued Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing folder.  The middle matted flower piece was glued direct to the card front, while the other two and the sentiment were added with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Card #5:

I used gold Washi Tape from my stash between the paper panels. The sentiment is from the discontinued So Sincere stamp set - stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed in gold.

Card #6:

I again rearranged my pieces in making this card, so it doesn't match the sketch.  I REALLY didn't want to cover all those pretty flowers, so pulled the smaller square down for my sentiment and turned it on point.  I also moved the narrow strips of pieces to better accommodate that change.  The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade using another stamp from the discontinued So Sincere set.

Card #7:

Again, I didn't want to cover my flowers, so moved the half circle to the bottom part of the card.  The sentiment in the half circle was stamped using a stamp from The Right Words stamp set.  The other sentiment was created using stamps and dies from the Mixed Labels stamps and dies (stamps are discontinued, but the dies are still available on last chance here) and the sentiment itself is from the discontinued Flower Cart stamp set.

Card #8:

This time, the background was embossed with the discontinued Cane Weave 3D embossing folder. The focal was cut from paper in the Traditions of Christmas paper (cut using a die from the coordinating Christmas Greenery die set). The sentiment was another made using the discontinued Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing folder.  One of the mats was cut using Textured Notes dies.

Card #9:

I love using the 3D embossing folders from Stampin' Up!  They make such a difference to a card.  This time I used another discontinued one called Fern 3D. I used that on the Mossy Meadow cardstock.  My focal was another cut from the Traditions of Christmas paper (while you can fussy cut these, I used a cutting die from Christmas Greenery set.

Card #10:

This was close to the sketch - except that I turned it on it's side.  The focal sentiment was again from the discontinued Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing folder.  Several mats were cut with Textured Notes dies.

Card #11:

I really found that I wanted a border between each of these different papers - so I used some thin white border stickers from HOTP.  The stamped greeting used a stamp from The Right Words stamp set.  I didn't have any Mossy Meadow ribbon, so colored a white ribbon with a Stampin' Write Marker in that color. (NOTE - these markers are being discontinued, so if you don't have them, you'll need to purchase them soon before they're no longer available.)

Card #12:

This sketch was pretty easy - though I made a little change in the cross border.  The sentiment, added with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, was again created with the discontinued Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing folder. The focal was arranged using pieces die cut from Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape using the coordinating dies

Card #13:

The only thing I changed from the sketch here, was to put the sentiment horizontal instead of on the diagonal - another sentiment from the Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing folder.

Card #14:

This time I chose to use several die cut rectangles for my matted focal and sentiment using Textured Notes dies.  The focal was die cut from the Kintsugi Inspirations papers using dies from the Inspiring Imperfections die set.  The sentiment was again created using the hybrid embossing folder called Thoughtful Moments

Card #15:

This final card, created using a card blank created from Calypso Coral cardstock, made use of several cutting die sets.  First, the sentiment, die cut from a discontinued set called Wanted to Say dies.  Next, is the mat for the focal - die cut using the Mixed Labels dies. (These are on last chance sale, so they won't be available for long.)  Finally, I again used pieces die cut from Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape using the coordinating dies
