Class Cards Using Decorative Masks

I have 4 cards today, from the Lovely Garden Suite - specifically the Lovely Garden patterned papers and the Thankful Garden bundle (decorative masks, stamps, dies).  I also used the Mixed Labels stamps and dies for my sentiments (currently the stamps are discontinued and the dies are on last chance sale).

The four cards are shown below.

Card #1:

This first card has a Garden Green background cut just smaller than the white card base.  Before gluing it to the card base, I gutted the green behind the matted patterned paper strips by using cutting dies to cut out a shape to use for matting the sentiment and some leaves (which I used on the insides of some of these cards).  I glued it in place and then added the two matted strips of the patterned paper on either side. My focal was made with the decorative masks using Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Garden Green inks and blending brushes.  I stamped over this with black ink and die cut it before adding to the center of the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  I then stamped and die cut the sentiment, cut my previously cut green piece in half and slid each piece to the side of my sentiment, gluing the mat in place before adding it to the card with dimensionals.  The final touch was a piece of Garden Green twine tied in a bow.

Card #2:

I love how striking this card is - and how easy it was to make!  I started with a white card blank and embossed the front of it using the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder.  To this, I added my strip of patterned paper across the bottom (using the black and white side of the paper this time).  I created another focal using the decorative masks, stamp, and die, adding it with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped and die cut and glued directly in place.  I felt the card needed something in the upper right corner, so took a scrap of the patterned paper, cut it as a flag, and glued it in place.  The final touch was to take a faceted gem and color it with a Highland Heather Stampin' Blends alcohol marker.

Card #3:

This was the trickiest card for me.  I wanted to find a way to use this large pattern as a backdrop for my card.  I ended up chopping it into 1" squares, matting them on Fresh Freesia squares, and then adding them all to a white piece that was just smaller than the front of my Blueberry Bushel card blank.  I made the focal the same as the others - except that I did not use the stamp.  I again added it with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, then glued the sentiment to it.  I completed this card by adding a few adhesive-backed sequins.

Card #4:

This final card makes use of the black and white side of the patterned paper.  My background is a piece of embossed colored cardstock just smaller than the card front.  I added my strips of patterned paper as you can see.  I again added focal and sentiment with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. (I fussy cut around the stamped sentiment & inked the edges first.)  The final touch was a black twine bow.
