Today's card started with a scrap of paper I wanted to use up. It is what you see here as the background paper and set the colors for this card. I needed some thank you cards, so decided to stamp that type of sentiment.
Looking through my stash, I was having a hard time finding a plain pink that would blend nicely with the background - until I thought to look at my vellum. It was perfect! I stamped my sentiment, then cut and embossed the vellum with a Spellbinders die in my Big Shot. It turned out great. I'll have to use vellum more often!
A larger white mat using a similar die helped the sentiment stand out. A small ribbon bow finished off the focal nicely. A strip of aqua glitter ribbon adds a nice sparkly border, but I decided to tone it down a bit and pull everything together better by adding a narrow white ribbon down the center of the wider aqua one.
Please let me hear from you!
