A Very Merry Christmas - Little Shepherd Boy

I decided for my Christmas cards this year to purchase a "Deco Large" kit from Hunkydory.  It was called "A Very Merry Christmas" and I decided to get two of the coordinating "Papers & Inserts" and one "Little Book".   This gave me the basics for making a LOT of cards!  After separating everything into its coordinating sets, I ended up only using 1/2 of the lot - saving the other 1/2 for someone else to use!!!  That still made a LOT of cards!!!!  The "Holiday Wine" cards posted yesterday were the first I made from the set (they weren't really part of a topper set - just one of the images in the "Little Book").

Today's featured set is called "Little Shepherd Boy" and I made 4 cards from this one (remember these are made using only HALF of the materials).  This first card front is matted on a piece of patterned card stock from the set (edges inked with brown ink) & then matted on some gold glitzy paper from DCWV (love that stuff!).   The focal is the main image with a few pieces added with foam tape.  A piece of border & a sentiment from the kit finish off the front.  The inside is simply a piece of the matching insert paper:

The second card started with a Spellbinders die (Card Creator Enchanted Labels 28) cut from some metallic gold paper from my stash.

A piece of the insert paper is framed by this die cut.  The focal was cut from the coordinating page from the "Little Book" with some layering pieces added with foam tape.  The sentiment at the top & border at the bottom are die cuts from the set.

The inside is a piece of coordinating paper with "borders" top & bottom that were cut from the "scraps" of the die cut pieces in the set.

Next up we have a focal cut from the coordinating card stock - which once again has some of the die cut pieces added with foam tape.  The sentiment is an included die cut.

Though you can't really tell, the inside of this card is covered with a piece from the "papers & inserts" to which a coordinating border has been added.

The last card is a small one - A2 size - that has been covered with a piece of the remaining coordinating card stock.  To this, some of the layering pieces have been added, so it looks like the card stock background is part of the image.  A sentiment from the set finishes off the front.

The inside of this is some of the coordinating paper & one of the remaining die cuts.

So far, from 1/2 of this coordinating set, I have 6 cards.
