Yesterday I showed you a stationary set. This notepad was one of the things in it. It is simply a covered notepad from the dollar store - like the ones I showed here and here. This is what it looks like opened up:
Obviously, I embossed the card stock with an embossing folder in my Big Shot. The focal (a Dazzles outline sticker mounted on different colors of paper and then shaded with a bit of chalk) was matted on a scrap piece of specialty paper cut from inside the mat shown below.
This is one of the note cards included in the stationary set shown yesterday. Notice how the blue covers a large portion of the special silver paper? I didn't want to waste that paper by covering it up, so cut out the shape I used as a mat on the notepad. Obviously, this card also uses outline stickers and colorful scrap pieces of card stock.
