Legos, India & More

Continuing with the scrapbook, I have several more pages.  The first two use special papers I purchased specifically for when I made pages of this type.

Page #1 (above): I found this Lego card stock a long time ago and knew it would come in handy some day!  It made this page pretty simple.  I matted the photo on yellow card stock (after I had die cut the title from it where it wouldn't show).  Added the die cut title, and 3 little Legos, and I was done!

Page #2:

The background paper of this one is from a set of Indian print papers I purchased a long time ago.  One of these days I'll use a bunch of them to create an album of our own trip to India!  The trickiest part of this page was figuring out how to cut the bottom of the circle while leaving the top of the aqua card stock intact.  It actually turned out to be pretty easy - tape the die (Grand Decorative Circles One by Spellbinders) in place & then move the top plate of my die cut sandwich so the top of it aligned with where I wanted the cut to stop.  Next, I actually cut the top inch and a quarter off of the background paper, glued the turquoise in place so it was again an 8 x 8 page, and then added the sliced piece back on top of the turquoise for a border.  Then I simply added the matted photos, my die cut numbers, and my journaling piece and my page was done.

Pages 3 & 4:

And a closer look at each:

Page 3:

Patterned card stock came from a Christmas set - not sure who made it.  The gold is a linen look.  The ovals were cut with Spellbinder's dies.

Page 4:

This picture is a weird angle - I was trying to keep the glare from the lights off of it!  Anyway, as you can see, the focal is matted on the same gold card stock - cut with Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles die.  The banner is cut from white card stock using a JustRite Vintage Labels and Banners die, then matted with the gold.

Page 5:

This page started with a printed transparency about dance - which I backed with white paper so it could be seen clearly.  I added a strip of gray for a border mat, added the photo, and the journaling piece.  The title was a punch out from an old HOTP book.  The ballet outfit is a Brad Buddy from HOTP.  The word "dance" was a die cut from my stash.

Page 6:

The background paper is from HOTP.  The border & frames, journaling block, and flower die cut behind the pair of "teeth" are all die cuts from an old scrapbook set in my stash.  The title was die cut from the remaining scrap of border (it had been 12" long).  The blue "teeth" were from a plastic bag sent home from a dental visit that I saved for a long time.  I used microdot adhesive to glue them to white card stock before fussy cutting them and adding them to the page to finish it.
