For Men

Today I have a couple of cards I made for men.  There are two because I needed a Father's Day card for my brother & thought that's what this first one would be - but changed my mind so had to make another. 😀  Both cards were made using HD Little Book pages - the first from the Little Book of Memorable Moments, and the second from the Little Book of Perfect Planet.

This first is an A2 sized card.  I basically cut the bottom third off the bottom and replaced it with the dotted paper (scraps from a previous card), trimming to ensure a narrow white border all around.  I taped the dotted paper to the little book piece and then added the ribbon - tacking the ends behind - before tying a loose knot, trimming the ends, and adding to the card front with an adhesive dot.  The sentiment is from the HD little book of essential sentiments.

The remainder of the little book page (trimmed to leave a narrow border) completes the inside of the card.

Card #2:

This time I used dies from Spellbinders' Modern Stationery die set to cut the little book page - and to cut a gold frame for it.  Using a paper punch, I punched 3 pieces from gold scraps to put at the upper left, and added a sentiment (from a HD essential sentiments book) with foam tape.

Inside, I simply added a strip of gold for a border & added another sentiment (from the same book).
