I've done a lot of Christmas cards lately, but that is not ALL that I've been working on! Here are some everyday cards made from the Hunkydory kit called "Woodland Wonder" - A Walk in the Countryside. It's nearly impossible to tell from the pictures, but most of these are dimensional "paper tole" style cards (what Hunkydory calls "decopage").
On this first card in this set, the background paper is some old HOTP paper - with inked edges. The focal is a remnant from the coordinating card stock just has some sky & background mountains shrouded in mist. Pieces from the kit are layered on top of that to form a scene - then the edges inked. A brown ribbon across the top anchors the sentiment (from the HD essential book of pearl sentiments).
The inside reflects the outside - same paper/ribbon/inking.
The next card is also cut from the coordinating card stock. This one has a dog in the picture, but there were no layering pieces that matched him. I gave the card a bit of dimension by adding some layered stones that coordinate but do not actually match what's in the background!
The inside makes use of the border strip that came with the kit & matches the card front.
I haven't yet decided what occasion I want this card for, so haven't added a sentiment to the front. The border pieces are from coordinating card stock but did not come as shown - they are cut to fit with the picture (also from coordinating card stock) sandwiched between. There are several layers of rocks and dogs on this one and it looks really nice in real life.
The inside is reminiscent of the border on the outside. Not having more of that paw print border, I used brown paper and punch I got somewhere.
This last is a birthday card, though you don't necessarily know that from looking at the front of the card. The focal is the piece that comes in the kit - with plenty of layers on it. The greeting at the top was also in the kit.
The inside makes use of another border & sentiment that came in the kit. The border was carefully cut to make 2 borders as you see. A piece of narrow border sticker was used to "hang" the sentiment from the border.
