A Very Merry Christmas - Winter Woodland

There are SO many beautiful images in this deco large set from Hunkydory with the coordinating papers & inserts & little book!  Next up is the set called "Winter Woodland".  This first card is made very simply.  For the front, a piece of the coordinating paper was cut just a little smaller than the card front.  A piece of silver metallic ribbon was wrapped around one side and glued in place forming a border to which the die cut sentiment from the set was attached.  A few red Jewel Dazzles from HOTP finish the card front - three medium ones at the top of the border & two small ones on the sentiment piece.

The inside of this card simply has a border formed from a small piece of the coordinating card stock.

It's pretty impossible to really see what this 2nd card is like from the picture.  Basically, the center of the card has a circle cut out of it that is covered with clear acetate so you see through to the inside of the card.  To make it, I simply used a die to cut a circle out of the card front where it would show the inside that I wanted to see.  I then cut a piece of acetate that was a bit bigger than this circular window and glued it on place on the front of the card.  It's hard to see from the picture, but there is basically a square piece with the center circle removed.  This is from the die cut page where the main image was removed.  I cut the surrounding "scraps" and die cuts to form this square.  Gluing it in place on top of the acetate hides the adhesive that holds the acetate in place - as well as the edges of the acetate itself.

At the top and bottom of the card front, I added narrow borders cut from the coordinating paper.  A die cut sentiment from the set finishes off the front.

Here you can see the acetate covered hole as the card is opened.  The inside was made using one of the scenes from the little book with a scrap from the die cut sheet on the inside edge to form a border.  To this, I added several die cut pieces in layers with foam tape.

This third card is the one that uses the actual topper.  The background is simply a piece of coordinating card stock cut just smaller than the card.  The topper was added with foam tape, along with layers of additional die cuts.  A die cut sentiment from the set at the top, and 3 small Jewel Dazzles (HOTP) at the bottom finish this card nicely.

The inside is simply a piece of insert paper cut to size and glued in place.

Card number 4 is a landscape orientation.  The background for the front of the card is formed using part of an image from the Little Book, a piece from the coordinating card stock, and a border piece.  Once again, a die cut sentiment from the set completes the look.

The inside is once again created using a piece of the insert paper.  A sentiment from the Essential Book of Christmas Sentiments 2016 finishes the inside.

Our fifth and final card from this half of this set starts with an image from the Little Book matted on a piece of coordinating paper.  There are layered die cuts on the image.  The top border is a "scrap" piece from the die cut sheet with a sentiment from the Essential book.  The bottom border is a die cut from the set.

So, we have 5 more cards - for a total of 26 cards so far (and remember we're only using half the supplies!)
