A Very Merry Christmas - Let's Build a Snowman

Our "Let's Build a Snowman" set of cards starts with another center step card. The background/focal is cut from the coordinating paper for this set.  To add interest, I added a slim border made of "scraps" from the die cut sheet.  I needed a way to hide the joins, so decided to had blue Jewel Dazzles.  Looks very nice!  The sentiment is a die cut from the set that is added with foam tape.

The inside is a piece of insert paper.  I added a "scrap" border cut from the die cut sheet and a die cut sentiment added in the lower right corner.

Unfortunately the picture of this card is rather fuzzy.  Rest assured it is a much sharper image in real life!  It started with an image from the little book that was inked around the edges and then matted on embossed purple glimmer paper.  Several layers of images were cut from other sheets of the same image (after they were glued to card stock) and added to the card front with foam tape.  Frosty Stickles dots were hadded here and there for additional "snowy" interest, and a sentiment from the Essential Christmas Greetings book added the finishing touch.

The inside is simple elegance with two strips of the embossed purple glimmer paper forming borders (one narrow at the top & a wider one at the bottom.  Scrap strips from the die cut sheet add additional interest to the border, and it is completed with a die cut from the Essential Greetings book.

This picture is also pretty poor.  It is another acetate window card, done in a similar way to the one with the owl shown in the last post.  This time the hole is cut closer to the top, but the square scrap surround for the main circle die cut base is once again used to sandwich the acetate between itself and the card front.  Another scrap from the die cut sheet forms a border at the bottom, and the two are bridged by the die cut sentiment from the set.

The inside of the card starts with a square of the coordinating paper forming a background for the layered die cut images on top.

This is the fourth card from this set, and I decided to create it as a gate-fold card.  The focal is the main circle base for this set - once again with a few layered pieces added with foam tape. The background is pieces of coordinating card stock that have been inked around the edges.  The sentiment is a die cut from the set.

The inside is mostly insert paper with a small border & image from the die cut set.

Wow! This is card number 5 from this set and we're not done yet!  This time I matted one of the Little Book images on gold glizty paper (DCWV).  So pretty!  I glued more copies of the image to card stock & fussy cut pieces to make the picture dimensional (adding the pieces with foam tape).  The sentiment is from the Essential Greetings Little Book.

Inside we have a piece of insert paper and another fussy cut image of the dog on the sled.

Okay, it looks like this 6th card is our last from this HALF of the set.  It starts with the border & image from the coordinating card stock.  As usual, die cut pieces are added with foam tape - as is the die cut sentiment.

The inside is another simple piece of insert paper.

So there we have 6 more cards from this HALF of the set (from Deco Large, 2 papers & inserts, Little book).  This brings our total so far to 32.  We're far from finished.  We've only made cards from 1/2 of the sets, but I'm going to put these aside for a little bit and work on some non-Christmas cards.  I'll come back to these later in the year.
