Wednesday Scrapbook Pages

Today I continued with more scrapbook pages.  As you can see above, we're starting with a double page spread.  Here's a closer look at each:

Page #1:

The patterned paper is a freebie download - from Debbie Moore, I think.  I've paired it with a light tan to complete the background.  The photo was matted with a kraft colored card stock & embellished with Thin Line Dazzles.  The title & subtitle are chipboard - inked with gold ink.

Page #2:

The second page has the same materials - including a few more chipboard pieces of the title and narrow craft card stock mats for the pictures.  I added some journaling to complete this pair of pages.

Page #3:

The background paper was an old one from HOTP - and the large heart brads were also from them.  The title block is from a scrapbooking set in my stash - no idea who made it.  I backed the white outline heart with red glimmer paper.  I fussy cut a picture and added it to a red heart doily from my stash (backed with a piece of white paper).

Pages #4 & 5:

You can see this is a double page spread.  Here's a closer look at each page.

Page #4:

The background paper is plain white card stock from my stash.  The red matting and die cuts were cut from glittered card stock (HOTP dies - 9 Tiny Christmas Things & Shadows, 3 Lacy Christmas Ornaments).  These were all backed with white card stock.  They were "hung" from white Dazzles thin borders.  The title was created with stickers from my stash.

Page #5:

Again, the red patterned paper is from HOTP. The background paper is from my stash - not sure what company made it.And more ornaments & hangers - same as page #4.

HD Peony Promise - Born to Fly

Today I have six cards made from the Hunkydory kit called Peony Promise - the set called Born to Fly.  Here's a picture of the set used to create these cards:

As you can see, there's a sheet of die cuts and two sheets of AS (adoreable scoreable card stock).  I also used some piece from the coordinating little book (LB).  Here's a picture of some of those pages/pieces - though I certainly didn't use all of them!

Now for a closer look at each.

Card #1:

The card front is based on a piece of the AS - matted with silver foiled poster board.  The focal & frame are die cuts from the set.  The AS was not tall enough for this card base, so I cut it & inserted a piece of white card stock between the two pieces (to ensure a less lumpy base) before covering the insert with the sentiment that was cut and pieced together from a little book page.  I added strips of scrap silver foiled poster board top and bottom of this - then added fussy cut flowers as you see.

Inside:

A die cut frame circles a fussy cut piece from a LB page.  Near the bottom, a border is created with more scraps from the silver poster board & a fussy cut set of flowers.

Card #2:

This next card front was cut from a piece of the AS.  The only addition was the die cut sentiment (from the die cut sheet).

Inside:

Inside I have a silver border - punched using a shell border punch.  A fussy cut birdhouse from a LB page decorates the border.  As you can see, I added 5 stamped messages on the inside from a stamp set called Your Faith is Showing by MayMay Made It..  

Card #3:

This third card front started with a piece of AS - which I bordered with a Sharpie pen.  The sentiment is fussy cut from one of the LB pages.

Inside:

The stamped images on the inside were made with some of my mother's stamps.  The balloons were fussy cut from a LB page.

Card #4:

The blue background is part of the AS.  The frame, focal, and tag are all from the die cut sheet.  The focal was added with foam tape.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Inside:

The stamped image once again used one of my mother's stamps.  I stamped it in blue & then added some pinks using some watercolor markers.  The border is a scrap of the AS and a tag from the die cut sheet and a small piece of ribbon.

Card #5:

The card front is simply a piece of AS with a leftover strip of AS across the top.  The focal and sentiment are from the die cut sheet.

Inside:

Fussy cut balloons decorate the inside - and stamped sentiments (my mom's stamps) complete the inside.

Card #6:

Here the background was a piece of the AS.  The frame, focal, and sentiment were all from the die cut sheet.  The frame was backed with a piece of dotted vellum from my stash.

Inside:

The border was created from a scrap of AS, and a fussy cut piece from a LB page.  A stamped sentiment completes the inside (again one of my mom's stamps).

Tuesday Scrapbook Pages

Today I again have more scrapbook pages.

Page #1 (above): This first page, which includes her first grade picture, was based on a printed background that had a bunch of school buses on it.  After trimming the pictures and adding them to the page, I added several stickers from my stash, cut outs, and a die cut title.

Pages #2 & #3:

Here are a couple of pages about a birthday party.  These pages weren't really made as a double page layout - but are pulled together by content, cut outs, colors & the medium blue paper.  Most of the paper, and cutouts are from an old HOTP birthday booklet.  Below are close ups of each.

Page #2:

I started with the base page & the large border piece of darker paper.  After trimming & adding the pictures, I added cut out embellishments.  Then added the title cut out to another piece of the darker paper before adding the cut out tag and journaling.

Page #3:

Here I trimmed the pictures to fit onto the blue piece of paper before gluing it to the background.  A bunch of cut outs form embellishments & a title.

Page #4:

I must admit I find it frustrating to use Polaroid pictures in a spread since they can't be trimmed and I often find the white border rather ugly.  It's especially challenging when I'm using 8x8 pages, so don't have much room on the page.  At any rate, that's why this page is the way it is. The background paper is a patterned paper from Hunkydory.  The shaped brads are from HOTP and letter stickers on white card stock forms the title.

Page #5:

This background is an 8 x 8 page from HOTP, and the coordinating card stock is from my stash.  I die cut the title from behind the focal picture.  The rest of the decorations were stickers from my stash.  They were all relatively transparent, so I backed all of them except the borders with white card stock.  As you can see, I fussy cut around the cat stickers.

Page #6:

This layout was based on a sketch from December 2022 PageMaps.  After adding the cream and patterned card stocks (patterned is Hunkydory Adorable Scoreable) to the plain black background, I added the pictures, stickers for the title, and created a border from washi tape and sticky-backed vinyl cut using my Silhouette.  There are three embellishments - the pair of zebra in the upper left are old-fashioned gummed stickers from my stash.  The one by the lower edge of the border was fussy cut from an old HOTP cutout.  The final one was punched from a picture and then bordered with a thin line black Dazzles sticker from HOTP. 

Page #7:

Papers are old ones from HOTP - along with cut outs from the same source.  Photos are matted with card stock from my stash.

Page #8:

This page is inspired by another sketch from December 2022 PageMaps.  Here we have papers & die cuts from a kit in my stash - I can't remember who made it.  To this I added papers and card stock from my stash.  The title was created with stickers - the lower edge cut with a border punch.  A little journaling completes the page.

December 2022 Swap Cards

Once again I have 3 swap cards.  

Card Front #1 (above): This first is a standard swap card - theme was "Anything Goes".  Most of what I used came from a calendar page.  I cut portions of it to create the card front & large senteiment - and then matted in brown & white (with card base forming the white mat for the main picture).  Then I did a corner treatment with two different ribbons and a sentiment.  For some reason you can't see it very well in the picture, but I inked that sentiment with colors that blend well with the focal & other sentiment.  I then added a small Dazzle sticker to "tack" it in place.

Inside:

I wish I had done more with the border - added a bit of green or something, but the little photo shows what the full calendar page looked like originally.  I think that's fun as well as pretty.

Card #2: Snowflake Materials Swap - my materials 

My materials consisted of a card base, blue patterned paper from HOTP, Silver Color Me Snowflakes Card Topper, snowflakes die cuts (Moonstone Splendid Snowflakes), snowflake confetti, and 1/8" ribbon.

Card Front:

Blue paper forms background for the ColorMe topper (uncolored).  I inked the snowflake die cuts with silver ink and added them as you see - then added blue mini-snowflake confetti.  Blue ribbon forms a border & bow.

Inside:

A scrap of paper & some inked snowflake die cuts form a border.  An additional inked snowflake in the bottom left corner & a couple blue mini-snowflake confetti pieces complete the inside.

Card #3: Snowflake Materials Swap - Partner's Materials

The materials included a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" card blank, a piece of acetate, two patterned papers/card stock, black card stock, snowflake die cut, Merry Christmas die cut, various rhinestones.

Card Front: (Split card with acetate)

As you can see, I split the card front and bridged it with acetate, gluing it on the front.  Then I cut a couple of pieces of black card stock a bit smaller than the white and glued it on top to hide the glue on the acetate - then I did similar with the pink patterned card stock.  I put glue on the top and bottom of the snowflake styled octagon and glued it in place.  Added the die cut greeting, and the rhinestones.

Inside:

Inside I added the patterned paper with borders of the patterned card stock & bits of the black.
