Please let me hear from you!

This blog is for sharing a love of paper crafting. I love paper crafting -
and Stampin' Up! products in particular -
so much so, that I became an independent Stampin' Up!®™ demonstrator earlier this year!
Full disclosure: I get a small commission on purchases made using Stampin' Up! links from this website - but this in no way affects your price. It just serves to help support my blogs. Thank you in advance for that support!

As of January 21, 2026, most of my Stampin' Up! makes are moving to
https://cheringloveofpaper.blogspot.com/.
Most of my makes will be using Stampin' Up! products and be on that blog,
but any makes from other materials will still be posted here.
Enjoy browsing my blogs, and I'd love to hear from you.
It is what helps make the time I put into these blogs feel worthwhile, and always brightens my day.

HD - Perfect Days - By The Harbourside

Today I have 7 cards I made using materials from Hunkydory's Perfect Days - By The Harbourside Deco-large card kit and some papers & inserts that coordinated with it.  Here's a picture of the kit without the coordinating papers:

The card kit is designed to make a single card with multiple layers - and perhaps a 2nd card from the accompanying printed cardstock.  As you'll see below, I made 7 cards - though some included some coordinating paper and some sentiments from my stash. It's been a long time since I worked with one of these kits, since I'm mostly working with Stampin' Up! products and posting them on my other blog - here.

Below I've posted a close up of each card and a little bit about how I made it.

Card #1:

For this first one, I cut the bottom corners of the focal on an angle rather than leaving them the reverse rounded corners you'll see on the focal on the next card.  Then I cut my background printed cardstock to match the angle - on all 4 corners instead of just two - and inked the edges before gluing it in place.  The border was a thin strip cut from one of the coordinating papers, and the sentiment (from the kit) was added with foam tape for dimension.

Card #2:

This card makes use of both coordinating paper & insert for the background and mat on this card front.  As you can see, I inked the edges - as well as the bottom edges of the focal piece.  I added the sentiment - again from the kit - with foam tape.

Card #3:

You can't really tell in the pictures, but while the other six cards are made as 5" x 7" cards, this one is A2 size.  I cut a piece of the insert paper to form a background for my focal image and matched the reverse rounded corners. I inked the outside edges of both before adding to my card.  Again, the border is a narrow strip cut from the paper.  The sentiment is one I found in my Mom's stash & thought it would look good on this card.  I added it with foam tape for dimension.

Card #4:

I made this card as a simple easel card - just gluing the focal image to the bottom part of the card front and adding a border strip from the kit to the inside of the card with foam tape to form the stopper.  The sentiment came from a Hunkydory Little book of Sentiments.  I made sure the glue only attached to the topper - then added a narrow ribbon bow.

Card #5:

This card was made with images from one of the coordinating papers.  I also cut the border from one of them.  The sentiment was one I grabbed from my Mom's stash & then I fussy cut a narrow mat for it from maroon paper.

Card #6:

This focal with background for this card was cut from the cardstock in the kit. The border was also from the kit.  I added a sentiment from a Hunkydory Little Book of Sentiments and then added a couple of sticker pieces from my stash to make it look like it was a sign hanging from the border.

Card #7:

This final card was made using one of the insert papers.  I cut the border separately and taped the two pieces together on the back before inking around the edges.  Then I inked around the edges of the sentiment - another from Mom's stash.  I threaded a piece of ribbon through the sentiment and taped it to the back of the taped papers before gluing the whole in place - quick & easy.
