I'm afraid this one is a bit hard to see - because of glare in the photo - sorry about that. Hopefully you can see enough to get the idea. I'm working on a "Faithbook" - a scrapbook about the way God has led in my life. This page is the companion page to "A Bolt Out of the Blue" - about how God led in our move to Idaho. It fulfilled several challenges on a message board I frequent - hence the title.
Title Block: Words were die cut from patterned paper & then backed with deep turquoise rectangles (no-name dies). Numbers were die cut from the same deep turquoise (more no-name dies). Both were glued to a strip of white and then attached to the top of the page. Border stickers finish the block off top and bottom.
Fence Block: Each fence piece lists milestones along the way. Most also have dates, showing how quickly things happened. These "fence" pieces were die cut using a Momento tag die before I wrote on them. Behind them, top and bottom, are two narrow strips of white to help it look more like a fence.
Focal Block: The focal is matted on yellow, then white, then on a patterned piece. What you don't see is that there is actually hidden journaling behind the picture (there's an additional strip of white on the left edge forming a "hinge" - and a magnetic closure to keep it from hanging open & getting bent or something. The photo is of our house, but I fussy cut a picture from the internet to add the "sold" sign.
Embellishing: There's a tag on the upper left corner - made with the dark turquoise, white card stock, and a sticker - finished with gold ribbon. The tag shape came from Design Tool Kit #1 (HOTP). When I looked at the gold border on the title block, and the gold on the tag, I decided I needed a bit of gold closer to the bottom right to move the eye around the page a bit. I found a gold sticker in my stash that said "You Did It!" That summed up the way I feel about the way my Heavenly Father led us in this move, so I spelled out the word "Father" in gold letters on a white background & added it just above the sticker.
