Spectrum Noir #2

Here's the second of my two cards made using Spectrum Noir pens with the "Floral Garden" for Colorists book (HOTP).

CARD FRONT:
  • Background - The background paper is one of my favorites from HOTP (but I don't remember what it's called!).  I cut it slightly smaller than the card front & inked the edges.  I actually laid out everything before gluing it to the front of the card.
  • Borders & Flowers - The brightest orange in these cards was colored with the "Vanilla" pen.  The colors in these pens are not at all what I would have expected by the names (and may be why I was able to purchase them at such a good price from Tuesday Morning).  I colored the borders to coordinate with the flowers (borders were on the same page as the flowers in the Colorists book), and then cut them into strips.  I glued them in place & added a coordinating narrow ribbon to finish off the borders before adding the flowers.
  • Greeting - For the greeting, I used another tag from the same colorists book & colored it to match.  I stamped a greeting ("Fancy Tags" by JustRite) and fussy cut the tag before adding it to the card as you see here.
INSIDE:

Once again, I finished the inside similarly - piece of background paper for border, with another of the colored floral pieces.
