Please let me hear from you!

This blog is for sharing a love of paper crafting. I love paper crafting -
and Stampin' Up! products in particular -
so much so, that I became an independent Stampin' Up!®™ demonstrator earlier this year!
Full disclosure: I get a small commission on purchases made using links from this website - but this in no way affects your price. It just serves to help support this blog. Thank you in advance for that support!

Enjoy browsing my blog, and I'd love to hear from you.
It is what helps make the time I put into this blog feel worthwhile, and always brightens my day.

More WCMD Challenge Cards

I just realized I never got the rest of my WCMD Challenge cards posted - probably because I had hoped to get more completed than I did.  Anyway, here they are.

Card #1 (above): For this card I was to use hydrangeas and pretzels as inspiration.  I used layering decorative masks, stamps, and dies (Thankful Garden bundle from Stampin' Up!) for my focal.  After adding it to a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I die cut a second from scrap paper to use as a mask.  After placing the mask in place, I used a brown spray ink that I had in my stash to spray around the flower.  Then, I simply matted it on brown cardstock cut using the Textured Notes cutting dies, and added it to a Basic Beige card base.

Card #2:

At this point, I was just scrounging in my stash to fin anything I could use to meet the challenges, and I'll only call out specifics if I remember them.  This was for a cut and create challenge.

This was another sketch challenge.

Card #4:

This was for a Pop-Out Swing Card Challenge.  Put simply, you cut an aperture in the card front.  Cut an insert piece just smaller than the main card - score in half and each half in half.  First two are mountain fold, then a valley fold.  Put glue just on the last section and glue to the inside back of the card - there will be a bit of space around the edges.  Now, the front section will glue to the inside of the front near the fold, BUT watch out for two things.  First, you don't want glue covering the aperture area.  And two, you want your card to close properly, so hold it closed as you glue it to make sure it's in the right place.  Finally, you will glue the piece you cut out from the card front ONLY to the right side of the insert fold so the edge is through the aperture when open and can be seen flat when it is closed..

Card #5:

And this was a Criss Cross Card challenge.  (Though I wish I had re-arranged the flowers so they weren't all on the left side! - definitely not my best!)  The white part is a pull out piece that fits inside the pocket formed by the two triangular flaps.
