Thanksgiving Mini Cards

Most of these cards were created using printed card stock from a 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" mat stack - just scored in half to create cards that were 3 1/4" x 4 1/2".  Mostly I added stamped greetings that had been die cut into various shapes - stamps from JustRite's Antique Autumn Tags One, Autumn Vintage Labels Three, and Good Friends Labels Twenty-Nine - dies from Spellbinders Labels Twenty, Decorative Labels Twenty-Two, Decorative Labels Labels Twenty-Seven,  Labels Twenty-Eight.

Unlike the others, the first card in the first set (above) was created with a piece of card stock with patterned paper border. 

This last card was created using a "Color Me Topper" & Gelatos.

HD Christmas Past - O Holy Night

Today I have 4 more cards from HD Christmas Past kit - these ones from the set called "O Holy Night".  These four cards bring my total so far from this kit to 30.  Most materials used are from the kit - focals, embellishments, greetings, and AS (adorable scoreable card stock).  Where I have used other materials or tools, that is noted below.

Card #1 (above):  This first card is made using a piece of AS behind the die cut pieces that form the focal.  This is matted on a fancy mat cut from gold metallic poster board using a die from Spellbinders' Resplendent Rectangles.  This, in turn, is matted on a piece of gold dotted red fiberous paper from my stash.  The sentiment was glued to a star die cut (die from 9 Tiny Christmas Things & Shadows - HOTP)

Card #2:

Here I used a piece of AS with a tannish scrap from the other AS to form a place for the die cut focal to sit.  The sentiment is from the HD Essential Book of Christmas Greetings (2016) and is matted on gold foiled card stock.

Card #3:

This card was very simple - focal glued to a piece of AS that was used for the background - with a small greeting added near the top.  You can't tell it, but the focal is actually a bit 3-D since I added layers to it using foam tape.

Card #4:

This slim line card was created using AS & a die cut.  I matted it on red, added a border with scraps from my stash, and finished it with a greeting from the kit.

HD Christmas Past - O Come Let Us Adore Him

Today I have four more cards from the Hunkydory Christmas Past Luxury Card Kit.  This set is called "O Come Let Us Adore Him".  Most materials for these cards came in the kit - focals, embellishments, greetings, and AS (adorable scoreable card stock). Additional supplies/tools used are listed below.

Card #1 (above): This card started as a cream colored card blank.  I added borders top & bottom that were taken from one of the AS sheets.  On top of this I layered a gold metallic poster board mat die cut with a die from Spellbinder's Labels Twenty-Eight - then the focal.  The frame was a large squarish one - too large for the card, so I cut some of it out & attached the remaining pieces as shown before adding the greetings (top one is cut from a border strip).

Card #2: This is a large card - 7 1/2" square.  The card base is part acetate & part card stock.  (The card front is acetate - the inside/back is card stock.)  To the acetate, I added a background of AS from which I had cut an aperture using a die from Spellbinder's Labels Three die set. (I inked the edges with a colored Sharpie pen before doing so.)  I added the frame & the sentiment - the focal is actually inside.

Inside:

As you can see in the above picture, I added a focal & border strip to the inside of the card.  I also used gold washi tape to cover the back side of the card front where the glue holding the background would have shown through.

Card #3:

To the AS background mat, I glued a piece of AS for the focal - framed by a piece of gold metallic poster board that had the center cut out using a Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight die.  A border and sentiment (from the 2016 HD Essential Christmas Sentiments) complete the look.

Card #4:

The last card from this set is an easel card.  Background & inside strip are AS, a small embellishment was matted & framed using AS & gold metallic poster board & dies from the Labels Three set of dies from Spellbinders (the AS was the piece cut out from the AS used on the acetate card).  A couple of sentiments finish the card - the "Noel" one is from Essential Christmas Sentiments.  Here's what it looks like when closed:

These 4 cards bring the total so far from the Christmas Past set to 26.

HD Christmas Past - Vintage Greetings

I'm working with the "Christmas Past" luxury card collection from Hunkydory to get some more Christmas cards made.  Going back through cards made in the past, it looks like I've already made 18 cards from this kit.  Here are 4 more for a total of 22.

Card #1 (above):  For this card, I took the red patterned AS (adorable scorable card stock) and embossed it with Darice's Damask embossing folder.  I then hit this with gold ink, sprinkled clear embossing powder over it & heat embossed it.  I matted it on a piece of gold metallic poster board, creating this great background to showcase the focal & sentiment.  The focal is from the set - the sentiment from a little book of essential Christmas sentiments (2016).

Inside:

Inside I used more of the same - with a leftover piece of patterned card stock (leftover from card #2 below).

Card #2:

Next up is a fold-back card that uses the red patterned AS as it came in the kit.  It is paired with a border piece of patterned AS, a focal & sentiment from the kit, and a strip of gold metallic poster board.

Here you can see the card oped up as the fold back reveals the inside.

Card #3:

This third card again makes use of gold poster board to highlight the AS strips that form the foundation of the card front.  The tag is from the kit - the ribbon from my stash.

Inside:

Inside is another tag from the kit, as well as a piece of the gold poster board.

Card #4:

For this card I made a red card base - something I almost never do.  I made it as a gate fold card & cut pieces of the AS to fit - then added the large focal.

Inside:

I added a piece of marble-like card stock on the inside. A border piece & another embellishment from the kit complete the inside.
