Please let me hear from you!

This blog is for sharing a love of paper crafting. I love paper crafting -
and Stampin' Up! products in particular -
so much so, that I became an independent Stampin' Up!®™ demonstrator earlier this year!
Full disclosure: I get a small commission on purchases made using Stampin' Up! links from this website - but this in no way affects your price. It just serves to help support my blogs. Thank you in advance for that support!

As of January 21, 2026, most of my Stampin' Up! makes are moving to
https://cheringloveofpaper.blogspot.com/, with makes from other materials here.
Enjoy browsing my blogs, and I'd love to hear from you.
It is what helps make the time I put into these blogs feel worthwhile, and always brightens my day.

Swap Card & More

Today I have a couple of quick cards using an old Luxury Card Collection kit from Hunkydory called Winter Wildlife of Britain.  These particular cards come from the Fallow Deer and Hedgehog set - though I've focused on the Hedgehogs this time and saved the deer for later.  I really appreciate Hunkydory supplies when I am short on time and inspiration - their beautiful focals, embellishments, sentiments, and "Adorable Scoreable" cardstock (AS) make creating a breeze!

Card #1 (above): I made this first card for a swap that needed to have some sort of winter critter.  I thought it fit the bill but was not a really common choice.  As you can see, I made this as an easel card.  I used the frames, but rotated the middle one by 45 degrees.  The background and border came from the AS.  Naturally, the inside border was partially put on foam tape so it would serve as an easel stopper, but I actually glued the bottom of it flush.  The sentiment came from one of their Little Books of Essential Sentiments.  Oh yes, I "inked the edges" of the AS by drawing with a Stampin' Blend marker (Pecan Pie color) along a ruler.

Here's a look at the card when it's closed:

Card #2:

I only needed one swap card, but I wanted to use up the Hedgehog portion of this set.  This time I let the AS serve both as background and focal.  I again inked the edges.  I removed the top border and layered it over the large piece.  Then I added my sentiment - with foam tape at the bottom edge.

Inside:

I finished the inside using all the rest of the Hedgehog pieces, except for a small scrap of the AS that I'll use to make a tag later.  I certainly could have gotten more cards from these materials, but though the images are cute, I don't have that much use for hedgehogs! ;)
