Santa Baby ACK (Artful Card Kit) - Part 1 1/2

I've had this ACK for quite awhile & decided it was time to use it up.  I made ONE card with it awhile back.  Here are some of the rest.  We'll see how many I get.

Card #2 (above - for first, see link):  Here I layered the Santa die cut over the large oval one using foam tape - then glued it in place over the embossed background (Darice A2 Snowflake background folder - used twice to cover the whole piece) which I had matted in red.  I cut the border to fit top & bottom (with some left over for inside).  The greeting was a cut-out.  I cut it out with a bit of the background bordering it - then added a black mat and popped it up on foam tape.

Inside:

For the inside, I made a border using a narrow strip of one of the papers matted on black from my stash.  The greeting is a cutout - once again cut with a bit of the background forming a border - then adding green & red mats.  And, of course, you can see the rest of the border at the bottom.

Card #3:

For this one, I started with the holly die cuts and added some other die cuts and cut outs.  The background paper is from the kit.  I drew around the edges with a black Sharpie before matting it with red.

Inside:

Inside I made borders top & bottom the same way I did the background on the front.  At the bottom I added the last holly die cut and a button die cut - using a scrap of red paper for the "thread.  A cutout is used for the greeting at the top of the page.  It needed a bit more, so I grabbed a holly Dazzle & backed it with red & green for a finished look.

Card #4:

I think this is my favorite so far.  It is a "split front" card.  I cut a strip out of the middle of the card & inserted green vellum in its place.  The glue is covered nicely by the strip of patterned paper (from the kit) that I put top & bottom.  I added borders cut from the green paper in the kit (using Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies) through which I had threaded strips of white paper.  I decided it needed a little more, so I added the cut out in the top left - stamped with a stamp from "Apple of My Eye" stamp set - that I got in a magazine.

Inside:

Inside you can see another border - this time with a strip of the black patterned paper threaded through it.  Another cutout is in the upper left corner (stamped with a stamp from HOTP's Tiny Words & Images).  The central sentiment is from Christmas Cuties - another set that came in a magazine.

Card #5:

This last card was made for a challenge based on a sketch.  I frankly didn't care much for the sketch.  I like the card a bit better than I like the sketch, but that's all I can really say about it!  You can see that I've paired the black patterned paper with red from my stash.  Most of the rest is cutouts - except for the little green diamonds (scraps from the borders on the previous card).  The "Deck the Halls" is a stamp from Christmas Tags and Trims (HOTP)

Inside:

I finished it up with more of the same - the upper sentiment is on a cutout, the lower is on a die cut.  The sentiments themselves were stamped with a set from Inky Antics called Christmas Friends.  I embossed the last one with clear powder as it wasn't drying well on the glossy surface of the die cut.

Card #6:

I made this one for a "barn red" challenge.  The black and white card stock are from my stash - as are the doily and the "diamonds" and the Dazzle sentiment.  All the rest is from the kit.

Inside:

Inside is more of the same.  After preparing the pictures for posting, I thought it might be nice to add a silhouette manger scene to the inside of this card.  Here's what it looks like now:

The manger scene is cut with a die from Holy Night (Divinity Designs).  After adding the nativity scene, I decided the card front needed some angels (from the same die set).  So here's what it looks like now:

Card #7:

This card was made for a challenge around "quilting", so the background is "quilted" using two patterned papers from the kit & then cream and black from my stash.  I also added black strip borders from my stash.  The rest is all from the kit except for the rhinestones - a dollar store special.

Inside:

More of the kit was used for the inside of the card.

Card #8:

To the materials from the kit, I just added the corner treatments (Spellbinders' Antique Corner die) and Jewel Dazzles to create this card front.

Inside:

All elements are from the kit except for the dazzles and the little bit of white paper.  I didn't like the sentiment that was printed inside that cut out, so I fussy cut to remove it and then matted the whole on white - ready for a sentiment when I decide what it will be.

Card #9:

Once again, most of the elements are from the kit.  I created the borders by cutting strips from the striped paper & adding strips of red from my stash.  The horizontal border is a wide white ribbon from my stash, with a border from the kit on top - decorated with Jewel Dazzles.  The I backed the label with a die cut from Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles.  I DID have to cut out the center of it to get it to fit.  Then I added double layered snowflakes (dies from HOTP - ) topped with jewel dazzles to finish them off.  Finally, I added some word Dazzles that say "Let it Snow!"

Inside:

More of kit & snowflakes on the inside with more dazzles words & a black bow from my stash.
