Today's cards are all made from a set that came from the June 2019 Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine (from Dovecraft). I used all the artwork & papers that had fairies on them - saving the butterfly ones for another time.
This first card is a structure called a "u-fold" card. It's basically a fold-back easel card with a band that goes across the front - with or without an additional card stock piece behind it for scene creation. It was cut from a 12" x 12" sheet of white card stock (scored at 2", 4", 8", and 10"). The top border was die cut from the A2 Bracket Border set from Spellbinders. The fairies were fussy cut from a piece of patterned paper from the set - glued to a piece of white card stock for sturdiness. The flowers and leaves are from Woodland Wonderland sets (stamps & dies) from Heartfelt Creations - colored with watercolor pencils.
The 2nd card is a center easel card made from a 6.5" x 5" card blank. The card front is cutaway on either side, with the center part folded in half to form an easel. The inside has a sentiment to hold the easel, as well as a plain blue piece of paper for writing a personal message. Most of the elements were from the set. Additions are the strips of silver tag board, and the silver border stickers.
This is what the card looks like completely closed:
The third card is an easel card made from an A2 card blank. The focal is from the set. The card fronts on the base card were embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder called Snow Flower:
The inside has paper from the set, a piece of silver tag board, and a sentiment from the set:
Next up is another A2-sized card. The background is silver tag board cut with a die from a Crafti Potential die set called "A2 Stitched Rectangles Dots & Stars". The focal and sentiment are from the set.
The inside is backed with some of the paper from the set. A silver tag board piece cut with a die from Paper Artist's "8 Squares and Scallops" set holds the die cut pieces from the set.
The 5th card from this set was another made from a 5" x 6.5" card blank - this one scored to form a gate fold card. Inside and out has paper from the set as the background paper - all pieces matted on pieces of silver tag board. The focal is another piece from the set.
Next up is a 5" x 7" card blank, scored as a gate fold card, and covered with patterned papers from the kit. A white piece of card stock was embossed with a Anna Griffen embossing folder from Cuttlebug, called "Rosa". Once again, borders were created using border stickers.
The inside is backed with paper from the set. A plain piece of paper is glued on top and bordered with stickers - allowing for a place to write a personal note. Another fairy was fussy cut from the paper to add a decorative element in the top right corner.
This 7th fairy card is made from a 5" x 7" card blank. The background is paper from the set. A border was created with silver tag board and black paper strips. The focal image was another one that was glued to card stock and fussy cut from a patterned paper. The finishing touch on the front is a tag from "Essential book of Pearl Sentiments" from Hunky dory - with a black ribbon bow from my stash. Oh yes, I added 3 little dots in the upper left corner - punched from the black paper.
The inside just had a bit of patterned paper from the set with inked edges, and another greeting from the Hunkydory Essential book.
The final fairy card uses patterned paper from the set, black paper accents, decorative elements from the set, and a small ribbon bow from my stash. Once again the edges have been inked in black.
