Heartfelt Sympathy

It seems there is never time to make a sympathy card when you need one - and this time I needed TWO.  This post talks about the first, and the next post will describe the second.

I decided to make use of a paper pack I had purchased from Heartfelt Creations as I like the symbol of a butterfly at times like this.

The background is a dark blue glimmer paper that was embossed with an embossing folder (not sure which one now).  I had a hard time deciding how to mat the focal picture, but finally decided the copper foil was the best that I had.  I used it to mat the sentiment (cut with a die from HOTP) as well.  The sentiment was cut from the paper and the butterfly was a dimensional one I got at the dollar store.

Here's the inside:

As you can see, I added light blue paper for the background of the inside, then used the dark blue and the copper to double mat the message - also from the paper pack.  The butterfly at the bottom was another from the dollar store.

beautifully crafted, Cheryl! Sorry for your loss. The card recipient will be tremendously comforted to know you created a labor of love for them through this card.
