Bible Journaling - Armor of God
To read about what this page means to me, please see my Cher-ing Daily Bread blog HERE. For how I created it, see below.
This is another stand alone page that I inserted into my bible using "Zip Lines" adhesive.
1) This page started as a plain white sheet of paper with the stamped image of a person (from HOTP set called "Paper Dolls"). I stamped a second one on scrap paper to use as a pattern that I could use to help me cut out the "Armor". I also cut the page to be the right size for my Bible.
2) I colored the person and surrounding light/darkness with gelatos and a water brush. I added streaks of light using a yellow marker.
3) I cut the various "armor" pieces from silver Glitzy paper (DCWV), wrote or stamped words with embossing ink & heat embossed with fine black powder. Stamp used was from Inky Antics "This Is" set)
4) The arrows were cut from copper foil paper using a pattern adapted from the arrows in the Inky Antics "Arrows & Bubbles" stamp set. Words were written with an embossing pen, and heat embossed with fine black powder before adding them to the page.
5) I used a black marker pen (Pitt Pen) to add the rest of the words on the page.
6) The page felt too flimsy to hold up well in the Bible, so I covered the picture side with a clear plastic adhesive laminating sheet before gluing it in my Bible with Zip Lines adhesive.
