Golden Anniversary

Here's my last gold-embossed card from this card making marathon.  I thought it would be great for a golden anniversary card.

CARD FRONT:
  • Background - The background was created in layers.  First a black piece of paper a bit smaller than the card front; then a piece of gold holographic a bit smaller than that (I cut out the center of it that wouldn't be seen using a rectangular die - and saved that for another project).
  • Focal - The focal started as a black rectangular piece of card stock to which I added heat-embossed images.  The borders are from Lacy Things stamp set (HOTP).  The sentiment from the Stamp and Punch set (HOTP).  The wedding couple are from Inkadinkadoo's Wedding set.  After I had heat embossed those, I went back and heat embossed the bottom of the girl's dress again, adding my VersaMark ink with the tip of a hardened pencil eraser to fill it in better so the border didn't show through so much.  When all was ready, I attached it to the card front with foam tape and added a bow in the upper left-hand corner.

INSIDE:
  • Borders - As you can probably tell, these are heat embossed in the same way and using the same stamp as was used on the front of the card.  However, I cut these out leaving a narrow black border all the way around.
