Variations on a theme - #4

This card abandons the turquoise and uses this lovely orchid color instead.    For it I started with another Darice frame embossing folder.  After embossing the orchid paper and trimming it to size, I realized there was more of the base card showing than I cared for - it looked too plain.  So I embossed a background piece in white using a Darice 5X7 embossing folder - not sure the name of it.  Before gluing it down, I cut out the center with a die from Spellbinders' "Radiant Rectangles" die set and placed it in the center.

For the sentiment I used the smallest die from Spellbinders' "Resplendent Rectangles", inked it using the die as a stencil & stamped the sentiment using a stamp from HOTP "Tiny Words & Images" stamp set.  I mounted this with foam tape on a die-cut I had made using a die from Spellbinders' "Fancy Tags #2" set.

The butterflies were cut and embossed using a couple of dies from Spellbinders' "Les Papillions" die set.  As you can see I cut both out of white and then again out of orchid, then layered one white on orchid and the other orchid on white.  I attached them gluing only the body and antennae parts so the wings could flutter free.  I folded the wings up and separated them a bit for added dimension.
