The Color of Serenity

Russel Falls in Tasmania is an amazing set of terraced waterfalls.  It is really pretty, but I doubt that any picture can do it justice.  I know mine doesn't.

This page has no title or journaling because it is the 2nd in a dual-page spread and all of that is on the first page. I decided to post it, just to point out the way color can affect a scrapbook page (and our moods).  I had a choice of colors that would have worked with this page, browns, whites - even contrasting colors like orange, red, or blue.  I chose green because I wanted to evoke the same sense of serenity that I felt when I was actually standing at the foot of these beautiful falls.

Color can make a real difference in the feel of a page.  Try it sometime.  Take the basic elements of your page and try them with different colors. It can be quite interesting to see how different a page can feel with the same elements but different background and accent papers!
