Evoke the Emotion - Koalas and Dingos and Peacocks, Oh My!

Today we'll look at how aspects of your layout can help carry the energy or emotion of your subject.  Take these first couple of pages, for example.  I wanted to remember the pouring rain and fog we braved in order to see these animals/birds.  The background paper gives a bit of a foggy feel, but to bring in the rain, I printed a bunch of little raindrops, cut them out, and added them to my page.

Fortunately, most layouts don't require that much work.  Take this next one for example.  These birds, called Banded Rails, were very hard subjects for a good picture.  They kept darting all over the place, never staying still.  The background paper with lots of arrows going every which way really reminds me of these little birds darting all over the place.

Here's another one where the background paper pretty much does the work.  This is another case where we braved some rain to see the sights, and the background paper is a perfect reminder of that.
