Today I've got a couple of examples of inking embossed backgrounds. It's a pretty easy technique. I simply embossed the background with an embossing folder in my Big Shot. Then I took a stamp pad and rubbed it lightly over the embossed background. This first one gives a feel of water which is a great background for the fish. The fish are printed clip art that were cut out and then matted with a narrow orange mat.
This second example was done in the same way. In this case, the flowered background reflects the die cut flowers that were layered to form the focal. The focal was matted on a couple layers that were cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels One. I used a pen to color the edges of the largest one.
