More Oxide
Mom actually made this oxide ink background, but gave it to me. I used it to make this simple but elegant card. I started by spraying the oxide ink background with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz. I cut a frame and sentiment (HOTP) from gold tag board - adding the sentiment with adhesive foam.

Happy Oxide
Pictures don't do this one justice. It is so shiny & sparkly in real life! This is a continuation of my using up backgrounds I've made and have been sitting in my stash.
CARD FRONT:
- Background: The basic background piece was created with Distress Oxide inks on white card stock. After it dried, I sprayed it with Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spritz. That is wonderful stuff - just adds a gorgeous shimmer.
- Frame: Using Spellbinder's Elegant Labels Four, I cut this pretty frame out of silver tag board & backed it with pink card stock.
- Sentiment: Die cut with a HOTP die.

Gelato Thanks
Yes, I had a lot of backgrounds I hadn't used. Here's another. This one was made with gelatos scribbled on plain card stock & blended with a baby wipe.
CARD FRONT:
- Background: This time I ran the background through an embossing folder (Darice - Damask) before trimming it to size and matting it on green card stock.
- Border: Another strip of green card stock with a smaller scrap of the background paper was added near the bottom of the card & then 3 green shimmer foam pieces from my stash were added to the right-hand side.
- Focal: The focal was created using Spellbinder's Labels One cutting dies - cutting and embossing one from green card stock & the next smaller one from white card stock. Using the die as a stencil, I added a bit of ink to the edges of the die with a round blending tool in light circular motion. Then I stamped the sentiment (HOTP - "Happy, Hello, Love & Thanks") with a dark green ink.

A Bunch of Color Burst
Use up the background continued. This card uses just a narrow piece of another Color Burst background. (watercolor paper with Color Burst sprinkled on it & then misted with water).
CARD FRONT:
- Background - An orchid colored paper was topped with a strip of the Color Burst background piece. This was matted on a black piece of card stock. A couple of bright pink sticker strips were used to edge the background strip.
- Focal - Using a die (Momenta) I cut out the branch from black card stock. The bird was cut and stamped from HOTP 11 labels & trims. I colored it with a bit of Smooch ink & mounted it with foam tape.
- Sentiment - stamped in black ink from Matching Borders & Focals stamp set (HOTP).
